Moorestown Distance Running Club

In 2004, a group of Cross Country parents founded the Moorestown Distance Running Club. The purpose was to support running in Moorestown, with a particular emphasis on youth running and the High School Cross Country Teams. Since it began, the MDRC has raised thousands of dollars for Uniforms, Sweats, Tents and other equipment to provide an excellent motivational experience. Our major initiative from 2005-2008 was the building of a Nature Trail and home cross country course at the Moorestown High School. We raised over $15,000 for this effort and successfully completed the course in 2008. Our runners and parents contributed over 1,000 community service hours to this effort that benefits the whole community. In addition, we sponsor the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning.
