Moorestown Distance Running ClubIn 2004, a group of Cross Country parents founded the Moorestown Distance Running Club. The purpose was to support running in Moorestown, with a particular emphasis on youth running and the High School Cross Country Teams. Since it began, the MDRC has raised thousands of dollars for Uniforms, Sweats, Tents and other equipment to provide an excellent motivational experience. In addition, it sponsors an annual Garage Sale in the second Saturday of September and the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning. In 2006, with the Boys Cross Country Team having over 50 runners, the Parents are taking this club to the next level and creating a coordinated vounteer organization to take on the opportunities that a larger team brings, as well as embark on major tasks like the building of a Moorestown Home Cross Country Course and Nature Trail, as well as a new and innovative Uniform Program.
